David Lacey

David LaceyDavid Lacey is a well known thought-leader in information security management and a member of the Infosecurity Europe 'Hall of Fame'. He has more than 25 years professional experience in designing and directing security and risk programmes for large organisations, including Royal Dutch/Shell Group, Royal Mail Group, and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

David is a keen innovator and pioneer of new techniques. Amongst other things, he developed the original content that formed the basis of the ISO 27000 security standard, and is a founder of the Jericho Forum, of which he is an Honorary Fellow. David is now an independent researcher, writer and consultant, and serves as Director of Research for the ISSA (UK). He is the author of the John Wiley book 'Managing the Human Factor in Information Security' and is writing a book on security in outsourcing and off-shoring.
