Bernadette Palmer has been with The Security Company International Limited (TSC) for four years as their Communications Specialist.  During this time Bernadette has worked with clients in the development of TSC’s Communications Solution - i-comms. The solution has been tailored for delivery to range of different organisations. Bernadette has also worked closely with TSC’s customers to deliver other i-wareness® solutions.

Bernadette joined TSC as a Communications Specialist where she works closely with TSC’s clients producing and delivering bespoke security communication programmes. This also involves researching and developing new communications opportunities that further enhance TSC’s i-comms solution. She also has responsibility for managing the subject content for all of TSC’s products. She also successfully studied for a Masters Degree in Internal Communication Management alongside working for TSC. Bernadette is a regular presenter at the SASIG, which is a subscription free quarterly networking forum open to those who have an interest in, or a responsibility for, raising awareness about security within their organisations.

Prior to working for TSC Bernadette was the Senior Employee Communications Manager for BT Major Business, BT Business and BT Products and Services where she managed a team of communication specialists delivering a suite of services to internal clients. Prior to this Bernadette worked as the Security Awareness Manager for BT Security for six years where she gained an invaluable insight into the world of security within organisations. Bernadette gained valuable experience from these roles which have afforded her the unique position within the organisation of being both a subject matter expert and delivery agent for TSC’s solutions.

Bernadette’s in-depth understanding of the communications environment and the role of security awareness within organisations has been an invaluable asset for TSC in winning business from a wide range of companies. “Communication is key. Understanding how communications contributes to the success of any programme is an integral part of our solutions. It’s not enough to simply have a great website, people have to know it’s there and why it’s important that they access it.”
